Course Objectives
This course aims to provide participants with comprehensive and in-depth knowledge and practical skills related to the ISO 14064 series standards.
Upon completion, participants will be able to provide professional support for corporate carbon project and asset management as well as ESG reporting, preparing them for roles in sustainability-related fields.

Course Content

Core Modules (4-week intensive course)

• Module 1: Foundational Theories and Frameworks
• Focus: Different carbon market mechanisms and standards worldwide; international carbon market-related certifications and institutions.
• Module 2: Carbon Assets and Carbon Rights
• Focus: Establishing core concepts of carbon assets and management; international policy context; framework of the ISO 14064 series standards.
• Module 3: Project-Level Emission Reduction Verification
• Focus: Learning the processes, methodologies, and monitoring plans for assessing, quantifying, and monitoring specific emission reduction projects.
• Module 4: Carbon Asset Trading Processes and Operations
• Focus: Understanding different types of carbon assets; trading processes and operations on carbon asset platforms.

Learning Process and Mode

1. Preparation and Orientation Phase: Participants receive pre-course reading materials, study guides, and access to the online learning platform for self-directed (preparatory study).
2. Core Teaching Phase: Led by senior instructors, combining lectures, group discussions, and in-class exercises for in-depth explanation of ISO 14064 standards and applications.
3. Practical Application Phase: Participants complete real-world scenario-based case studies and simulated audit exercises, applying learned knowledge under instructor guidance.
4. Assessment and Certification Phase: Upon successfully passing the final written examination and case study practical assessment, participants will receive the "Carbon Market Project Management" Professional Qualification Programme Certificate issued by the Carbon Neutrality Association.

Admission Requirements

• Associate degree / Higher diploma or above; or
• Aged 18 or above with at least 2 years of work experience; and
• Possess good English reading and writing skills (the course and assessments are conducted in English); and
• Pass the admission eligibility review conducted by the course advisor.
